This Black External Hard Drive Enclosure lets you install a 3.5in SATA hard drive for connection to a computer using USB 2.0 - a cost-effective storage solution for a wide variety of applications including file and application sharing between desktop and laptop computers, data archiving, or simply backing up existing hard drives to preserve data security. Large capacity drives (tested with up to 4TB) can be used to greatly enhance your computer's storage/backup capabilities.
Designed with modern computer systems in mind, the USB 2.0 SATA hard drive enclosure is compatible with the IT industry's newest 3.5in SATA II (SATA 300) drives, and backward compatible with SATA /150 drives, and features a sleek, sturdy aluminum casing that looks terrific next to any MAC or PC system.
The enclosure is compatible with a broad range of Windows operating systems, Mac OS 9.0 and up and Linux, as well as Apple's Mac OS X Leopard operating system - including its breakthrough automatic "Time Machine" backup feature.
